Centaurion Press was created in 2019 with the intention to publish children's books, beginning with author Ronald Briscoe's debut book, My Daddy Is Everything! Briscoe shared the true story that his young children would initiate close contact - sometimes sitting on his lap, leaning on his shoulder and simply napping on him like he was a piece of furniture. One day he mentioned this to them. "Am I a piece of furniture to you all?" They responded, "Yes, you are - you are everything!" And this is the spark that led to his book, My Daddy is Everything!
This press focuses on other publications for children and young adults that address delicate and ever-present issues. The goal is to create a literary space for underrepresented and under-served populations and communities.
